Forward Andrew Boucher and defenceman Owen Wareham are staying in Manitoba for the next stop in their hockey journeys.

The graduating captains of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Dauphin Kings have both committed to the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey program for the 2023-24 Canada West season.

Boucher spent the last three years with the Wolverines. The Morden product had 97 points in 93 regular season games and had a goal in four playoff contests.

Wareham, who calls Rivers home, also had a three-year run in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and won the Turnbull Cup in 2022.

He recorded 60 points in 117 regular season games for the Kings and had 11 points in 29 post-season contests.
