Dwight Kearns extended his lead at the Golf Manitoba senior men’s championship to 24 strokes entering the final round of forward-tee division play.
The Brandonite, who plays out of Shilo Country Club, shot a 12-over 81 on Thursday at St. Boniface Golf Club, falling to 17 over on the week.
In the main event, Todd Fanning shot 2-under 70 to get to 3 under and two shots ahead of fellow Niakwa Country Club member Jay Doyle.
On the women’s side, seven-time defending champ Rhonda Orr carded an 8-over 82 to extend her lead to 10 shots at 11 over for the week.
The final round is today.
