Virden Capitals 2004-born forward Josh Lehto leads the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s scoring race, recording 14 goals and 30 points in 22 games.

A point back is 2003-born Steinbach Pistons forward Kirk Mullen, who has 12 goals and 29 points in 19 games.

There are two players tied for third in the scoring race, each with 28 points. Portage Terriers 2003-born forward Slade Stanick’s offensive statistics includes 11 goals and 17 helpers in 26 games.

The top defenceman in the league shares third spot with Stanick, with 2004-born Kaycee Coyle’s offensive contribution with the Niverville Nighthawks eight goals and 20 assists in 25 games.

The MJHL’s top goal scorer with a league-high 15 goals is Virden’s 2005-born Nolan Chastko, who has 25 points in 22 games.

Winkler Flyers 2005-born goalie Liam Ernest is tops among his puck-stopping peers with a 7-1-0 record, stingy 1.25 goals-against average and .942 save percentage.

Cole Plowman, a 2003-born netminder with the Steinbach Pistons, is runner-up thanks to an impressive 13-1-1 record, .938 save percentage and 1.78 GAA.

Ernest’s goalie partner 2003-born Malachi Klassen is third, with a 9-2-0 record, 1.88 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Virden continues to lead the MJHL’s west division with 32 points thanks to a 15-5-1-1 record. The team has outshot opponents 90-53.

The Dauphin Kings are runner-up with a 14-5-1-0 record, three points back. Kings players have scored 73 goals while giving up 50.

In the east division, Steinbach’s offensive prowess outscoring opponents 99-43 has the Pistons posting a league-best 19-2-1-0 record.

Four points back, Portage boasts a 15-6-3-2 record. The Terriers have outscored their opposition 91-71.
