A 34-save performance in a win against the Central Plains Capitals has garnered Gracie Johnston of the Westman Wildcats goalie of the week honours in the U15 AAA Manitoba Female Hockey League.
She has a 2-4 win-loss record early in the 2023-24 season for the sixth-place Wildcats, stopping 182 shots to post a 3.43 GAA, and .901 save percentage after playing 350 minutes.
Rookie forward Payton Manness of the second-place Pembina Valley Hawks earned player of the week honours for her three-point effort and relentless physical play along the wall during a recent victory. In 13 league games, the five-foot forward has two goals and two assists.
