A Crocus Plainsmen goaltender will soon call Missouri home when she arrives in St. Louis in the fall of 2025.

Still in Grade 11, 16-year-old Kelsey Dell committed this week to attend and play for coach Tom Lange’s third-ranked Division 1 Maryville Saints in the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Saints currently have 11 Canadians on the roster, but no player from Manitoba.

This is Dell’s sophomore season with the eighth-place Plainsmen (9-11-0-3) in the Westman High School Hockey League. She shares goaltending duties with 15-year-old rookie Shelby Brown.

In 13 games this season, five-foot-11 Dell has a 4-9 record, .877 save percentage, 4.20 goals-against-average, faced 406 shots, allowed 50 goals and has recorded one shutout. She just missed a second shutout when the Sandy Bay Badgers scored with a second remaining during a Crocus 13-1 victory.

Dell played 46 games during her 2022-23 rookie season, when Crocus had a 3-27-0-1 league record. She faced 1,537 shots, allowed 243 goals and recorded two shutouts.
