The Brandon University Bobcats volleyball and basketball playoff pictures are set.
The men’s volleyball team will visit the Trinity Western Spartans (16-8) in Langley, B.C., in the quarterfinals for the second straight year.
BU (16-8) split a pair of five-set matches at UBC (16-8) on the weekend, settling for a four-way tie for third but taking the No. 6 seed on tiebreakers.
The best-of-three series starts on Thursday at 9 p.m. CT, with Match 2 on Friday at the same time, and if necessary, a deciding third match on Saturday at 10 p.m.
The BU women (1-23) took a set off the country’s No. 1-ranked Thunderbirds (22-2) on Friday and was swept on Saturday to finish in last place as Regina (2-22) beat Winnipeg on the final day of the season to hold the Wesmen out of the playoffs.
The No. 8 seed Bobcats men’s basketball team (12-8) takes on the No. 9 Saskatchewan Huskies at the University of Manitoba on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
The winner draws the top-seed Victoria Vikes in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 3 p.m.
The entire men’s hoops post-season takes place at the U of M’s Investors Group Athletic Centre, with the final four set for Saturday and Sunday.
