Layla Desjardin went the distance to earn the victory, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out eight.
In their third game of the day, the Magic fell 6-5 to the Winnipeg Lightning in an extra inning. The Magic trailed 5-3 in the top of the seventh inning but tied the game on a double by McKay. Hodson allowed 16 hits and struck out two batters in 7 2/3 innings to take the loss.
