Three members of the Brandon Bluefins had top-three finishes this weekend at the Prairie Winter Invitational swim meet in Winnipeg, with one of the youngest conmpetitors having another impressive showing.

Ceinwyn Griffith finished first in the 50-metre fly (32.78) and the 100-metre fly (1:14.97).

The 12-year-old Brandonite also finished second in the 800-metre freestyle (10:48.51), the 50-metre freestyle (29.47), and the 100-metre freestyle (1:04.98), as well as third in the 200 metre freestyle (2:21.26) and the 100-metre backstroke (1:16.71).

Her time in the 800-metre free was a near :44 second improvement from her previous time in that event.

Jack Gaxiola Donohoe finished third in the boys 400-metre freestyle event with a time of 4.22:05.

Halin Li finished third in the boys 100-metre freestyle with a time of 1:22.14.

The Prairie Winter Invitational is the final Swim Manitoba meet in on the 2024, with the competitive schedule resuming with the Bison Swim Meet, also in Winnipeg, on Jan. 11.
