The Dakota Lancers are two wins away from a Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational title defence.
Dakota rolled through Victoria Inn Division (Tier 2) Pool B play as Daniel Rom dropped 17 points in a 111-43 win over Northlands Parkway and Amid Kanu posted 13 in a 77-67 triumph over Regina’s Campbell Tartans on Friday to sit 3-0.
The Lancers face the Sisler Spartans, who hit the century mark in all three of their games in Pool C. Sisler opened with a 133-57 win over Crocus Plains on Thursday, then topped Lord Selkirk 112-55 on Friday morning as Daven Sharma netted 24 points.

Sisler closed with a 106-64 win over Jeanne-Sauve on Sharma’s game-high 23 points.
The nucleus of the Spartans lineup is a Grade 11 group that won the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association AAAA junior varsity provincial title last season, setting the stage for a terrific matchup today at 1:30 p.m.
On the other side of the bracket, it’s an all-Regina semifinal featuring the Martin Monarchs and Riffel Royals.
The Monarchs edged the River East Kodiaks 76-72 in a nail-biting battle of unbeaten teams at Neelin on Friday afternoon, securing first place. Zack Zaiser led the way with 20 points.
Martin topped Yorkton (Sask.) 80-66 in its morning game.
Riffel, coached by former Neelin Spartan Steve Shields, opened with an 89-64 win over Miles Macdonell.

Joe Lippai notched 20 points as the Royals dropped the Oak Park Raiders 79-68 on Friday morning, then Davin Berry recorded 28 as they defeated the Vincent Massey Vikings 91-71.
Martin and Riffel clash today at 11:40 a.m.
Both Tier 1 semifinals are on the Healthy Living Centre’s main court.
The final is at Neelin at 7 p.m.
The Vikings and Plainsmen both went 0-3 in pool play, and have a chance to meet for the first time this season in the 13th-place game today.
