Kate Hiebert scored 10 points to lead the Crocus Plainsmen to a 51-26 win over the Neelin Spartans in Brandon High School Basketball League varsity girls’ action on Tuesday night.
Emily Beckwith posted 12 points for Neelin.
In the JV girls’ game, Kinsley Penner netted a game-high 20 for the Plainsmen in a 50-42 triumph. Karolina Boyko dropped 17 for the Spartans.
The Plainsmen are hosting a JV basketball tournament this Friday and Saturday, with the girls’ games taking place at Crocus on Friday and boys’ contests at Neelin.
Action starts Friday at 9 a.m., with both finals set for Saturday at 5:20 p.m.
