60 YEARS AGO — Boissevain Border Kings applied the power in the final period to wallop Neepawa Natives 8-2 in the opening game of an MAHA intermediate A hockey series. Lad Hutchinson paced the winners with three goals while Jack Jackson picked up a pair.

50 YEARS AGORob Roamer scored a pair of goals and teammate Russ Roux added another last night to pace Shilo to a 3-0 Manitoba Broomball Association win over A&W.

30 YEARS AGODerek Gross scored two goals to lead the Brandon Stingers past the Souris Elks 5-2 in a Manitoba Junior B Hockey League game. Jason Fryer, Jon Lafournie and Jason Glutek added singles for the Stingers.

20 YEARS AGO Tony Vasilarakis made 30 saves to lead the Pizza Express Wheat Kings past the Winnipeg Sharks 3-2 in a Winnipeg City Midget Hockey League game at the Sportsplex.

10 YEARS AGOBryn Martin scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, to lead the Neepawa Tigers to a 4-1 victory over the Major Pratt Trojans in Westman High School Hockey League action.
