A handful of Brandon Wheat Kings and other Westman players have made the National Hockey League’s final draft rankings for North American players.

The Wheat Kings who are ranked are forwards Roger McQueen of Saskatoon, who is eighth, Carter Klippenstein of Lethbridge, Alta. (88th) and Joby Baumuller of Wilcox, Sask.(167th).

A pair of Westman defenceman made the cut, Swift Current Bronco Josh McGregor of Brandon (111th) and Moose Jaw Warrior Aiden Ziprick of Russell (162nd), plus Vancouver Giants goaltender Burke Hood of Brandon (15).

The NHL Scouting Combine will be held in Buffalo, N.Y., from June with the draft taking place at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on June 27 and 28.

Across the Canadian Hockey League, the WHL leads with 67 players listed, followed by the Ontario Hockey League with 64, and the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League with 39.
