Braylee Merritt had two hits, scored a run and drove in another as the Westman Magic fell 9-5 to the Central Energy in Manitoba Premier Softball League action in Winkler on Sunday.
Brooke Hartman threw six strikeouts with Bryelle Simard adding three for the Magic (10-6).
In the second game, Logan Rome pitched two scoreless innings with four strikeouts in an 8-3 loss as Westman was limited to four hits.
On Saturday, Rome had the lone Magic hit in a 9-0 mercy-rule defeat to the Interlake Phillies. The Magic bounced back in Game 2 as Rome had two hits while allowing none in two innings. She gave up one run on six walks in relief of Meredith Masson, who allowed three runs with three strikeouts on six hits.
The other Magic teams were not in regular-season action on the weekend.
