The Vincent Massey Vikings earned a big victory and the Crocus Plainsmen suffered a lopsided defeat in Winnipeg High School Football League action on Friday in Winnipeg.

The Vikings (2-2) earned a 32-3 victory over the Sturgeon Heights Huskies, with Logan Van Santen making four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown, Ethan Cullen rumbling three carries for 30 years and a touchdown and Tobilola Olorunsola also scoring on the ground.

Defensively, Corwyn McLean had an interception and four tackles, Caleb Edward had two sacks, seven tackles for a loss and 10 tackles overall and Kaleb McAuley broke up two passes and made eight tackles.

Massey hosts the Vincent Massey Trojans next Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Plainsmen (1-3), meanwhile, ran into the Oak Park Raiders, who beat them 54-12. Plainsmen quarterback Joe Makori threw touchdowns to Maurice Chartrand and Xander Blythe, and defensively, Ethan Swiscoski had five tackles and a forced fumbled and Riley Dutchak made an interception. Crocus hosts the Grant Park Pirates next Friday at 4:30 p.m.
