Brandon Wheat Kings defenceman Gio Pantelas and Cypress River blue-liner Carson Carels of the Prince George Cougars are among eight Western Hockey League players who will represent Team CHL at the CHL USA Prospects Challenge next month.

The two-game series features the top eligible players for next spring’s National Hockey League draft from the Canadian Hockey League playing the U.S. national under-18 team on Nov. 25 at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome and Nov. 26 at Lethbridge’s VisitLethbridge.com Arena.

The other WHLers on the squad are goaltender Harrison Boettiger (Kelowna Rockets), defencemen Ryan Lin (Vancouver Giants) and Daxon Rudolph (Prince Albert Raiders) and forwards Chase Harrington (Spokane Chiefs), JP Hurlbert (Kamloops Blazers) and Mathis Preston (Spokane Chiefs).
