40 YEARS AGO — Kit Harrison scored 42 seconds into overtime as the Minnedosa Bombers beat the Hamiota Huskies 7-6 in NorthCentral Hockey League action. Harrison scored two other goals while Bill Maguire, Darren Gusdal, Craig Pearson and Randy Neufeld had singles.

30 YEARS AGO — Ted Wood and Dale Isfeld both scored twice to lead the Neepawa Natives to their eighth straight MJHL victory, 6-4 over the Dauphin Kings.

20 YEARS AGO — The Foxwarren Falcons line of Gord Nickel, Cory Hodgson and Danny Johnston scored four goals each in an 18-3 thrashing of the McCreary Mustangs in the North Central Hockey League.

10 YEARS AGO — Carson Ransom of the Brandon Midget AAA Wheat Kings was named the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s player of the week with four points in two games, helping the Wheaties beat the Southwest Cougars 4-2 and the Kenora Thistles 5-3.
