A large field of 50 local athletes and six from Winnipeg competed in 11 divisions at the Brandon Classic Racquetball Tournament at the Sportsplex on the weekend.
The event included a non-competitive shootout division for youngsters. Players could compete in a maximum of two divisions.
The winners were:
• Junior A: 1. Halin Li. 2. Tony Cao. Consolation: Patrick Hall.
• Junior B: 1. Luke Godfrey. 2. Avery Taggart. Consolation: Korbin Warwaruk.
• Junior C: 1. Gavin Paschinski. 2. Emma Sopel. Consolation: Hadley Wood.
• Junior D: 1. Eric Nahtigall. 2. Sean Lines (Winnipeg).
• Junior Doubles: 1. Gavin Paschinski/Hadley Wood. 2. Tissy Chartier/Emma Sopel.
• Open/A Singles: 1. Leyton Gouldie. 2. Pete Olynick (Winnipeg). Consolation: Oren Gouldie.
• Mens B/C Singles: 1. Chris Mohan. 2. Brad Paschinski.
• Open/A Doubles: 1. Oren Gouldie/Leyton Gouldie. 2. Pete Olynick/Sean Stockwell.
• Coed B/C Doubles: 1. Halin Li/Buster Macpherson. 2. Aaron Hall/Patrick Hall. Consolation: Jason Kissock/Brad Paschinski.
• Novice female singles: Single Bounce: 1. Jennifer Potvin. 3-2-1: 1. Jerilyn Dutchak.
