Mady Taillefer hit a three-pointer in the dying seconds to send the Crocus Plainsmen to overtime and ultimately a 59-54 win over the host Neelin Spartans late Tuesday night.
Kate Hiebert led the Plainsmen varsity girls’ basketball team with 11 points in the Brandon High School Basketball League thriller, with Danielle Asham dropping a game-high 15 points for the Spartans.
In the JV girls’ game, Success Ebri and Elia Blerot scored 10 points each as the Plainsmen won 55-21.
Paisley Anaka led Neelin with eight points.
On Wednesday, Thomas Rosmus netted 22 points to power the Plainsmen JV boys to a 98-54 win over the Spartans, who had a team-high 10 points from Timmy Oladiti.
The varsity boys’ game ended after deadline.
