Tom Friesen and Liam Pauls had 10 kills each as the Brandon University Bobcats completed a weekend sweep of the Fraser Valley Cascades on Saturday in Abbotsford, B.C.
Matthew Siebenga chipped in seven kills and three blocks as BU (5-7) won the Canada West men’s volleyball match 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-21).
The Bobcats had 37 kills and just six errors while the Cascades (0-12) recorded 36 and 17.
On Friday, Friesen posted 10 kills while Ethan Baraniuk notched seven in a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-21) sweep.
The BU women (1-11) lost a pair of four-set decisions, with Maddy Hettinga posting a team-high eight kills in each.
Talia Attieh notched 30 kills over the weekend, helping UFV improve to 7-5.
The Bobcats host the Trinity Western Spartans this Friday and Saturday.
