• 60 YEARS AGO — The Ann Fedoruk rink of Kay MacKay, Marj McPhail and Peggy Scott went undefeated to win the Brandon interclub bonspiel.
• 50 YEARS AGO — Larry Exner and Bucky Bandusiak scored and Don Bolley recorded the shutout as Burns downed Gondola Pizza 2-0 in Brandon broomball action.
• 40 YEARS AGO — Ron Lauder scored three goals and Al Chambers added one as City Centre downed Dukes of Hargrave 4-1 in Shilo and District Men’s Broomball League action.
• 30 YEARS AGO — Mike Leclerc scored his third goal of the game with 14 seconds remaining to give the Brandon Wheat Kings a dramatic 5-4 win over the Red Deer Rebels in WHL action. Kelly Smart and Dorian Anneck scored the other goals for the Wheat Kings.
• 20 YEARS AGO — Foxwarren Falcons sniper Ted Fleury fired four goals to lead Team White to a 16-10 triumph over Team Blue in the NorthCentral Hockey League all-star game.
