• 40 YEARS AGO — Gord Allan’s Hat trick led the Exhibition Bandits to an 8-1 Shilo and District Men’s Broomball League win over the Hyundai Stallions. Jeff Albert and Don Lewis both scored twice.
• 30 YEARS AGO — Terry Luke scored four goals to lead the Brandon Stingers to a 10-7 triumph over the Sagkeeng Braves in Manitoba Junior B Hockey League action. Mike Filipchuk and Jason Glutek both scored two goals for the Stingers.
• 10 YEARS AGO — Jayce Hawryluk had a pair of first-period goals as the Brandon Wheat Kings built a 4-0 lead early and went on to beat the Prince George Cougars 8-3 at Westman Place.
