Tom Friesen is moving on from Canada West men’s volleyball as an all-star.
The Reinfeld native was named a second-team all-star on Wednesday after leading the Brandon University Bobcats with 244 kills on the season.
Friesen finished seventh in the league with 3.39 kills per set.
Meanwhile, hometown outside hitter Ethan Baraniuk cracked the all-rookie team.
Baraniuk posted 55 kills, hitting .170 in his first year with the program.
The Bobcats lost a play-in series 2-0 to the Saskatchewan Huskies last weekend.
