The Eastman Selects (3-0) scored early and often as they pumped the Westman Wildcats (2-1) 7-0 in Game 1 of their best-of-three Manitoba Female Hockey League U15 AAA semifinals matchup in Deloraine Sunday afternoon.

Forward Bryelle Muntain tallied four goals for Eastman while Piper Tchir, Miikah Ouellet, and Rooney Laluk added singles to their team to a 1-0 series lead. Selects goaltender Caitlyn Anderson notched a shutout and Ivy Nelson played all three periods for the Wildcats.

Game 1 was scheduled to be on Saturday in Ste. Agathe, but a widespread power outage postponed the contest. Game 2 is now scheduled for Saturday in Niverville at 11:30 a.m., and if necessary, Game 3 will be in Landmark on Sunday at noon.

In the other semifinals matchup, the No.1 seed Central Plains Capitals (2-0) have already advanced to the final following their sweep of the Yellowhead Chiefs (2-2) thanks to a 3-2 win on Saturday and a 4-3 victory on Sunday.
