The Souris Sabres are off to both the boys and girls A/AA junior varsity provincial semifinals.
The Sabres boys defeated the Rosenort Redhawks 63-61 in the quarterfinals in Carman on Thursday, while the Souris girls topped Dufferin Christian 73-39.
Both teams draw the Warren Wildcats today for a trip to the gold-medal game.

The Glenboro-Carberry-Baldur co-op team also advanced in the girls’ event, defeating Hapnot Collegiate of Flin Flon 64-47. It will face Westpark today.
At the AAA JV boys’ event in Winnipeg, Virden lost 100-49 to the top-ranked Leo-Remillard Renards, while Dauphin went down 86-45 to St. Maurice.
The Dauphin girls lost 63-45 to St. Norbert.
The finals for all four events are on Saturday.
