The Westman Wildcats have been eliminated from the Manitoba Female Hockey League U18 AAA playoffs.
The Wildcats season ended in dramatic fashion after the Eastman Selects edged them 2-1 in Game 4 to close out their semifinal tilt in Hartney late Wednesday.
Charlie Shearer opened the scoring less than four minutes into the first frame for Westman, with Chloé Carrière responding less than three minutes later for Eastman, before teammate Reese Beavis potted in the last goal of the game with four minutes and one second remaining in the period.
Wildcats netminder Indigo Stone collected 31 save in the loss, while Addison Tomes turned aside 33 shots to lead the Selects to the final, where they will face the Winnipeg Ice.
The schedule is yet to be determined.
