Soleil Kaktins was the fastest girl in the province on the weekend, regardless of age class.
The Vincent Massey Viking claimed the junior varsity girls’ 100-metre and 200-metre provincial golds at University of Manitoba Stadium, posting 12.14 seconds in the 100m final and 25.42 in the 200m final. Both were faster than the varsity girls’ winners.
Crocus Plainsmen Elbert Maritz claimed double gold in varsity boys’ javelin (49.97m) and discus (44.90m).

Crocus JV jumper Jasim Ameh won the boys’ high jump at 1.77m.

Other podium finishers from Westman include Rossburn’s Kacey McKim, who claimed two JV girls’ medals, a silver in high jump at 1.52m and a bronze in long jump at 4.83m.
Neepawa’s Karina Wither finished second in the JV girls’ javelin, throwing 32.34 metres, and earned bronze in discus, throwing 27.15 metres.
In the 4×100-metre relay, the Vincent Massey JV girls won bronze with a time of 52.69 seconds, .65 back of Sisler.

Somerset’s Prairie Mountain took the AA aggregate banner, while Manitou’s Nellie McClung Collegiate won the A banner. Morden claimed the AAA honour, with Sisler winning AAAA.
