On Saturday at Ashley Neufeld Softball Complex, Jaycee Hackywicz had three hits and scored three runs, and Maci Watters, Ella Kyle, Kyree Hart and Emerson Anderson each drove in two runs in a 13-10 victory over Central Energy.

In the second game, Hackywicz and Hayley Fordyce both drove in two runs in a 10-3 victory. The Magic scored six runs in the fourth inning to put the game away.

On Sunday at Stonewall Quarry Park, Ella Parrott, Taylor Larson, Ellena Hermenegildo, Hart and Kyle each drove in two runs in a 17-4 rout of the Interlake Phillies.

They had trailed 3-2 after two innings.

In the second game, Parrott had three hits and two RBI to lead the way, with Maci Watters, Larson and Anderson each driving in two runners in a 17-2 win.

They scored at least three runs in each of the four innings of the mercy-rule game.

U15 MAGIC

The U15s had a busy weekend, with three doubleheaders.

On Friday at Ashley Neufeld Softball Complex, Jessa Church singled in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walkout 2-1 victory over Central Energy.

Brooke Hartman threw a four-hitter for the victory.

The second game was completely different, with Hartman getting three hits and Hayley Barkley driving in two runs in an 11-6 victory.

It was a different story on Saturday, with the league-leading Eastman Wildcats earning 6-4 and 17-10 decisions.

In the first game, the Magic outhit the Selects 13-9 — Hartman and Church each had three — but they couldn’t plate enough runs.

In the second game, Eastman pounded out 20 hits, negating two-RBI performances by Georgia Koop, Hartman and Ava Boden.

On Sunday at Moffat Field at Ray Fennel Park, the Magic put across 12 runs in the top of the first inning en route to a 17-1 pounding of the Smittys Terminators.

Logan Rome drove in four runs on three hits and scored twice, and Hadley Robertson drove in four runs on two hits and scored twice.

U17 MAGIC

The U17s also had three doubleheaders.

On Friday, they fell 5-4 to the Smitty’s Terminators, who led 4-0 after the first inning.

Kasia Baranyk had two hits and two RBI for the Magic.

Westman bounced back in the second game, going up 7-2 in the first two innings en route to a 9-2 victory. Olivia Wilson and Callie Franklin each drove in three runs.

The Magic followed the same pattern on Saturday at Ashley Neufeld Softball Complex, falling 10-7 to the Eastman Wildcats before rebounding for an 11-8 victory.

Rose Cochrane had three hits and three RBI in the first game, while Paige Rampton had two hits and drove in two runs in the second game.

Sunday’s action at John Blumberg Park in Headingley against the Interlake Phillies didn’t go as well, with the Magic sustaining 7-3 and 7-0 losses.

In the first game, Emily Beckwith had three hits and scored three runs, and Layla Desjardins had two hits and two RBI but the Magic fell 13-8.

The Wildcats put the second game away when they scored eight runs in the third inning and added 10 in the fourth inning en route to an 18-0 victory. The Magic managed just two hits off Eastman’s Kelsey Warkentine, who threw just 51 pitches in the four-inning game.
