The Brandon Wheat Kings traded another defenceman on Thursday, sending Dylan Ronald to the Edmonton Oil Kings for a conditional fifth-round pick in 2029.
The overage defenceman spent two seasons in Brandon, posting 10 goals, 26 assists and 46 penalty minutes in 106 games. He had a goal and an assist in seven playoff games.
Brandon traded Gio Pantelas last week after he asked to be sent to the Penticton Vees so he could live with family.
The Wheat Kings still have three overagers, goaltender Jayden Kraus and forwards Brett Wilson and Russian newcomer Kris Muissu. They have a group of rookie defenceman coming in, including Ilari Kapanen of Finland, Cruz Jim, Ethan Young and Easten Turko to join veterans Cameron Allard, Nigel Boehm and newcomer Josh McGregor.
