The Brandon University women’s soccer team scored three second-half goals to beat the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 3-0 in Manitoba College Athletic Conference action in Winnipeg on Saturday.
Sara Switzer broke the deadlock early in the second half before Laure Dizengremel doubled the lead just a few minutes later.
Chelsey Hoad added an insurance marker in the final 10 minutes, while Abby-Jo Wark collected two assists for BU (1-0-2).
In the men’s game, the Bobcats (0-1-2) lost 4-0.
Meanwhile, the Assiniboine College Cougars suffered four shutout losses, falling to 0-3-0.
On Saturday, the men went down 6-0 to the Providence Pilots before the women lost 11-0.
Then on Sunday at Cougars Field, the AC men fell 7-0 to CMU, then the women lost 6-0.
The Bobcats visit the Cougars on Wednesday, with the men starting at 6 p.m., and the women following at 8:15.
