The Brandon University women’s rugby team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday, 33-24 to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Regina.
Beth Couling, Brooke Miner, Brooklyn Vandaele and Amanda Meilke scored tries for BU, with Megan Thompson kicking two converts.
Brandon is now 2-1 after a 41-5 victory over Mount Royal University on Friday, as Miner and Raegan Ricard each recorded two tries.
Hannah Eagles, Kierstein Van De Kerckhove and Thompson also touched the ball down, while Thompson kicked three converts.
BU is back at home on Oct. 17 against the University of Saskatchewan.
