Jorja Hoad netted a hat trick as the Brandon University Bobcats women’s soccer team beat the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 7-2 in Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference action at the Healthy Living Centre field on Saturday.

Laure Dizengremel, Keashae Masters, Abby-Jo Wark and Tessa Hoad scored the other goals for BU (4-2), while Cleo Reynolds recorded both CMU (2-5-1) goals.

On Sunday, Dizengremel scored 25 seconds into the game and Wark also found the net to beat the Providence Pilots 2-1.

On the men’s side, the Bobcats (1-3-2) lost 3-2 to the Pilots (3-2-2). Kapaya Chilufya and Sky Garcia notched the BU markers.

BU and CMU played to a 3-3 draw on Saturday, with Matheus Ruffini collecting a pair of goals and Victor Andrade scoring the other on a Ruffini assist.

Meanwhile, the Assiniboine College Cougars lost 3-0 to the St. Boniface Les Rouges on Saturday, and 5-0 to the Blazers on Sunday.

The Cougars women were blanked 4-0 on Saturday and 6-0 on Sunday. Both AC teams fell to 0-7-0.

The Bobcats and Cougars meet at the HLC field on Oct. 10.

Brandon visits St. Boniface the following day.
