Drew Briss went 2-for-4 with one run and three RBI to help the Oak River Dodgers book their ticket to the South West Baseball League championship series.

Ty Paddock threw a complete game and hit a solo home run on Tuesday in Oak River, scattering nine hits and striking out five, as the Dodgers beat the Hamiota Red Sox 11-4 to take the best-of-five North Division final 3-1. Brayden Heapy added a pair of RBI for the Dodgers, while Dayton Heino and Adam Robidoux both had two runs and drove in another. Duncan Paddock also crossed home plate twice.

Taylor Madsen allowed five runs in the first inning and lasted only three on the mound to take the loss for Hamiota. Joben Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBI. Justin Knight also homered and plated a pair.

The best-of-five league final, which is a rematch of last year’s final between the Dodgers and Boissevain Centennials, begins in Boissevain on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

ANDREW AGENCIES SENIOR AA BASEBALL LEAGUE

Marhsal Burgess hit a grand slam home run in the third inning and finished a triple shy of the cycle as he helped the FRNOW Cardinals to a 12-3 win over the Simard Industrial Giants in Game 1 of their best-of-five league semifinal on Tuesday at Andrews Field.

Buddy Mayert scored three times and drove in a pair of runs, while Brody Pinkerton threw five inning on the mound, allowing nine hits and striking out five, to collect the win.

Evan Mash was charged with 12 runs in four innings to take the loss for the Giants. Ravi Hunter went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored, while Tanner Bates singled twice and plated one run.

BORDER BASEBALL LEAGUE

Taylor Bramwell threw a complete-game two-hitter for the Cartwright Twins as they evened up their best-of-five league semifinal with the host Baldur Regals at a game apiece on Tuesday with a 6-0 victory.

Bramwell also went 1-for-3 at the dish with a run and two RBI, while Bryce Enns went 2-for-2 with a run and plated a pair.

Travis Strain took the loss for Baldur.

In Pilot Mound, the Morden Mohawks took a 2-0 lead in the other semifinal with a 3-1 win over the host Pilots.
