The 24-year-old Jimenez played 18 games with the Jays last season, and 19 at triple-A Buffalo where he hit four doubles and four RBIs and a 15.5 per cent walk rate. The right-handed hitter from Chitre, Panama was signed by the Jays as an international free agent in 2017.

The 23-year-old Gleed of American Fork, Utah, appeared at four minor-league levels in the Marlins’ system last year in his first season of pro ball.
In 71 combined games, he had 15 doubles, two home runs, 26 RBIs and a 75.9 per cent contact rate at the plate. The 6-1, 200-pound right-handed hitter was selected by the Marlins in the ninth round of the 2024 first-year player draft out of Irvine, Calif.
