TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Jonatan Clase from triple-A Buffalo.

In a corresponding move, George Springer was placed on the paternity list.

Clase will be active for Toronto’s series finale against the New York Mets on Wednesday.

He has five home runs and 23 RBI in 53 games, along with a .223 batting average with Buffalo on the year.

Springer, meanwhile, has batted .221 with eight homers and 21 RBI in 63 games.
