TORONTO – Outfielder Jonatan Clase has been on the Toronto Blue Jays’ 10-day injured list with left plantar fasciitis.
He was hurt running during pre-game warm-ups on Tuesday.
Right-handed pitcher Lazaro Estrada was optioned to triple-A Buffalo in another roster move.
Outfielder Yohendrick Pinango and right-hander CJ Van Eyk were recalled from the Blue Jays’ minor-league affiliate in Buffalo, N.Y., in corresponding moves.
Pinango was fifth in Toronto’s batting order against the Tampa Bay Rays for tonight’s game.
Sean Keys was batting eighth, in at third base for Kazuma Okamoto.
