Neepawa Titans blue-liner Dean Noonan was picked in the first round of the North American Hockey League draft on Wednesday.
The Odessa Jackalopes took the 19-year-old 18th overall.
Noonan, who was born in Dallas but grew up in Chandler, Ariz., had seven points in 42 games last season in his first year of junior hockey.
A pair of Dauphin Kings forwards were also selected on Wednesday as Luke Morris went to the El Paso Rhinos in the third round and Tanner Brouwer was a seventh-round choice for the Springfield Jr. Blues.
Morris, a 19-year-old from Fredonia, N.Y., recorded 40 points in 53 regular season games to finish sixth in team scoring and had five points in the Kings’ run to the Turnbull Cup.
The 19-year-old Brouwer, who calls Pine City, Minn. home, had 13 points in 43 games and had three points in the playoffs.
