Two key members of the Dauphin Kings blue-line will be playing U Sports hockey this fall.
Captain Parker Malchuk has committed to the Manitoba Bisons, while Klim Georgiev is set to suit up for the York Lions, who are based in his hometown Toronto.
Malchuk had 45 points in 50 regular season games for the Kings last season.
The 21-year-old from Birtle recorded 16 points in 17 playoff contests in the team’s run to the Turnbull Cup and had five points at the Centennial Cup in Estevan, Sask.
Georgiev, who will be turning 21 on Sunday, arrived in Dauphin in October following a trade with the BCHL’s Cowichan Valley Capitals.
He had 17 points in 31 regular season games, six points in 12 post-season affairs and posted three points at the Centennial Cup.
