Grandview’s Jayce Legaarden has committed to the Winkler Flyers.
The 17-year-old forward for the Parkland Rangers will join the Manitoba Junior Hockey League team on a full-time basis next season after signing his letter of intent with the club Thursday.
Legaarden leads the Rangers in scoring this season with 57 points in 31 games, with his 35 goals being the third-most in the provincial under-18 AAA circuit.
He has already played in a pair of MJHL contests as he suited up for the Flyers during a weekend series with the Virden Oil Capitals in December.
