Graduating Southwest Cougars forward Ty Lone will be making the jump to Junior A hockey this fall.

The 18-year-old from Boissevain signed a letter of intent with the Sioux Lookout Bombers, who will be making their debut in the Superior International Junior Hockey League next season.

Lone had 13 points in 52 games over the last two campaigns for the Cougars in the Manitoba AAA Under-18 Hockey League.

He’s the second Westman product to sign with the Bombers, who landed Yellowhead Chiefs forward Owen Riffel of Onanole earlier this spring.
