Defencemen Foxx McColl of the Yellowhead Chiefs and Matthew Munro of the Parkland Rangers have signed letters of intent to join the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Swan Valley Stampeders next season.

The 16-year-old McColl, who is from Elkhorn, had 15 points in 43 games for the Chiefs last year and also had three points in four games during their Manitoba AAA Under-18 Hockey League quarterfinal series with the Rangers.

Munro, 17, spent the last three seasons with the Rangers.

The Swan River product posted a career high 23 points in 29 games last season and also recorded an assist in the team’s run to the league semifinal.
