The Swan Valley Stampeders exploded for three third-period goals as they edged the visiting Dauphin Kings 6-5 in the lone Manitoba Junior Hockey League game on Wednesday night.

Boissevain’s Jagger Thomas scored two goals and Virden’s Landon Peel had one assist for the Stampeders (2-3-1). Riley Hiebert, Dylan Hykawy and Justin Valentino also had two-point nights for the home side.

Jesse Sinatynski and Tommy Hrazdira both had one goal and two assists for Dauphin (3-4-0), which received a 35-save performance from Jeremy Pominville.
