Seven people from Westman will be honoured by Baseball Manitoba during its annual awards banquet at the Royal Oak Inn on Nov. 17.

The provincial baseball organization announced on Wednesday that Brandon’s Marshal Burgess was the bantam player of the year, Minnedosa’s John Hutton was the Senior AA player of the year and Reston’s Rory Tycoles was the Senior AAA player of the year. Brandon’s Faron Asham was also named the high performance coach of the year.

Also being recognized at the banquet will be Hamiota’s Nicole Madsen as volunteer of the year. Reston’s Ross Tycoles and Hamiota’s Ron Ramsey will go join the organization’s honour society.

Tickets for the banquet will cost $60 and can be purchased through the Baseball Manitoba office at 204-925-5763.
