The Neepawa Farmers will face the Souris Elks in the Tiger Hills Hockey League final.
The Farmers finished off the Carberry Plainsmen in the fifth-and-deciding game of their semifinal series on Sunday night in Neepawa with an 8-1 victory behind three goals from Shane Jury. The Plainsmen had pushed the series the distance by beating the Farmers 7-5 in Carberry on Saturday night.
The Farmers, who won the league title two seasons ago, finished second this season with a 16-3-0 record, four points back of the first-place Elks (17-0-2). Game 1 in the league championship series will be played Friday in Souris at 8 p.m.
