The Killarney Raiders claimed bronze at 14-and-under girls’ Tier 2 provincial volleyball championship in Winnipeg on Sunday. The Raiders beat Vipers Green in the bronze-medal match after falling to the Marauders in the semifinals.

At the 14U girls’ Tier 1 provincials, Cats Club Gold finished eighth, falling to Vipers Blue in the quarter-finals. Club West Rage out of Virden finished 13th, while Club West Smash was 24th, Cats Blue was 25th and the Neepawa Smash finished 31st.

At 14U boys’ provincials, the Brandon Volleyball Club’s 14U Gold team fell to the WinMan Tornadoes in the bronze-medal match.

The 14U Blue squad lost to the WinMan Tide in the seventh-place match. Team Extreme and BVC 13U finished 15th and 19th, respectively.

Also in Winnipeg, the BVC 17U squad finished fifth at 17U boys’ provincials, falling to the Jr. Pilots in a quarter-final match after going 1-3 in pool play.
