Thomas Negiru followed his Assiniboine Community College Cougars men’s futsal most valuable player award with the men’s soccer MVP nod on Tuesday.
“I’m extremely proud of his performances both on and off the pitch this season. Thomas has been instrumental in lifting morale and encouraging the team,” coach Diego Rodriguez said in a team-issued release.
Neepawa’s Andrew Turner won the coach’s choice award, with Diego Nomesque taking home most improved player.
The Cougars were unable to field team of 11 eligible players, going 0-10-0 in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference season.
