Vaughn Zimmer posted 14 kills as the Assiniboine Community College Cougars completed a weekend sweep of the St. Boniface Les Rouges at ACC on Saturday.

Nolan Slate and Josh Budach added seven kills apiece for the Cougars (2-1), dropping Les Rouges to 0-3.

Setter Noah Barcellona, who had to take over last week when starter Austin Steele tore his Achilles in the first set of their opener against Providence, had 44 assists and three blocks.

On Friday, Zimmer put up seven kills with Carter Beattie adding six in a straight-sets triumph.

The ACC women fell to 0-3 with back-to-back sweeps by St. Boniface (3-0).

Mackenzie Zatylny had a team-high seven kills on Friday.
