• 30 YEARS AGO — Marty Roberts won the overall title in the Level Three gymnastics competition at the Flairs Invitational Meet in Winnipeg.
• 20 YEARS AGO — Dauphin’s Ryan Horn beat Jason Horsley of Victoria at a qualifying tournament in Starbuck to earn a spot on Canada’s team at the world university golf championship, which was held in Chinese Taipei in August.
