Natalie Gundrum, Daxx Turner, Andrew Simard and Graham Wright are headed to the Canada Games.

Athletics Manitoba released its provincial team rosters for upcoming meets on Wednesday, including a bundle of Westman talent.

Gundrum, from Somerset, posted a 1.59-metre high jump to finish second at the trials last weekend — the top two in each event qualify.

Turner won the triple jump at 14.84m. The Neepawa product was also second in the high jump at 1.92, tying Isaac Peters but losing the count back.

Brandon’s Simard set a pair of personal bests. He won the 400m at 48.80 seconds and was third in the 800m at 1:54.58, missing second by less than half a second.

Wright, also from Brandon, won the shot put at 13.91m and was second in the hammer throw at 40.69m. Both were 7.26-kilograms.

The athletics portion of the Games starts on Aug. 16 and finishes on Aug. 20.

Meanwhile, the Tri-Province under-16 and U18 rosters came out for the July 21-24 meet in Edmonton. The U16 team includes Brandon’s Lucas Ewert and Konnor Klemick and Neepawa’s Jett Turner. The U18 team features Brandon’s Juliana Crocker and Thomas Boychuk.

Crocker, Ewert, Klemick, Turner and Tryn Turner are on the squad for Legion Nationals on Aug. 5-7 in Sherbrooke, Que.
