A half-dozen Skate Brandon figure skaters were in action at the Sask Skate Invitational and Open Competition in Regina over the weekend.
Ella Young finished fourth in the juvenile invitational jump event and 15th in the under-12 free skate with a score of 15.56 points.
Annika Duguay was fourth in the pre-novice invitational division with 72.69 points. She recorded 26.45 in her short program and 46.24 in her free skate.
Julia Patenaude came in fourth in the novice invitational category after recording 84.41 points — 32.75 in the short program and 51.66 in the free skate.
With a total of 72.47 points, Marijka Popadynetz finished 10th in the novice invitational division. She scored 47.70 in her free skate after a 24.77 in the short program.
In the novice open category, Taryn Gwynne was seventh with a score of 66.68 — 25.29 in the short program and 41.39 in the free skate — and Zoie Forgue came in ninth with 64.34 points. she recorded 39.98 in her free skate after getting a 24.36 in her short program.
