I recently discovered Ikea in Winnipeg has a few new neighbours. We were in Winnipeg this past week and happened to stumble upon two new locations in the south-end Ikea neighborhood. Directly to the west of the mega home furnishings store, sits two new lovely locations, offering shoppers the opportunity to mix and match a variety of home accessories, or find something sleek, modern, and delightfully affordable.

Bouclair Home

With head offices in the eastern region of Quebec, Bouclair Home is making its way out of Ontario, across the prairies, and into British Columbia. A haven for those with a penchant for mixing, matching, and continuously changing things up in their home, this store has a bevy of colour coordinated accessories, decor, drapery, and more. Set up in sections, you can shop for bedding, towels, artwork, curtains, candles, wall decor, and numerous other smaller soft furnishings under one roof, and the selection in terms of style and aesthetic is greater than its larger European neighbor to the east.

Structube

A specialty retailer of contemporary and modern home furnishings and accessories, Structube offers exclusive designs at affordable prices. This store is crisp and clean in presentation, and carries a wide variety of modern, rustic-modern, and softly industrial pieces for a wide variety of styles. Similar to locations like EQ3, and Urban Barn, Structube is a little more discerning in terms of their accessories and smaller decor items. Modular sectionals, modern bedroom suites, unique wall shelving, area rugs, cozy throws and bedding. This store has what you’re after, if modern is what you’re looking for.

And if a trip into Winnipeg isn’t in the near future, you can browse both companies online at bouclair.com and structube.com
